Collaboration and Cooperation with Local Governments to Create New Flows of People
In March 2021, we concluded a collaboration agreement concerning the new flows of people with Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture. Nobeoka City was facing issues such as a decrease in the working-age population and stagnation of the local economy, while our company was facing the high cost of living and environmental stresses in urban areas that could be a burden on our employees. To solve such issues on both sides, we aim to create new flows of people, increase the population, and respond to the diversifying career designs of individuals through collaboration and cooperation by taking advantage of our respective resources and characteristics. WILLTEC holds seminars on migration, trains migration coordinators who act as a liaison between migrants and the local communities, and actively disseminates information on, for example, local attractiveness, services, and industries to employees.
By centrally managing the information on local governments, companies, and employees who wish to migrate,
WILLTEC creates a win-win relationship that provides support and matching among the three parties.

Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture
Nobeoka City flourished as a castle town in the Edo period (1603-1868). In modern times, Nobeoka developed as a core city in Eastern Kyushu, focusing on manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Since the population of the city peaked in 1980, however, Nobeoka has been facing a decrease in the working-age population due to the excess of young people moving out over those moving in.
Solving Social Issues and Revitalizing Local Communities through Agribusiness
WILLTEC is operating a farm in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture, by developing plots of abandoned farmland. In addition to contributing to regional revitalization, the company also plays a role in creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities, retirees, and individuals with diverse values and lifestyles. The farm also serves as a place where employees and their families can become familiar with and deepen their understanding of the benefits of nature and food-related activities. Through the distribution of farm produce, we utilize this project as part of welfare and health promotion activities.
Along with the concentration of population in urban areas, the number of farmers is decreasing. Idle, abandoned, and devastated farmland in rural areas is one of the social issues.
We entered the agri-business as a way to address social issues in rural areas and as an option for employees to work in a variety of ways.
Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture
The unique temperature difference between the mountains and the basin, symbolized by the Tamba Fog, nurtures abundant crops. The city has been selected as a model town for organic agriculture by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Tamba Dainagon azuki beans, Tamba black soybeans, and Tamba chestnuts are representative specialties of the area, known nationwide as the "Three Treasures of Tamba."
Providing Safe and Secure Foodstuffs from Agribusiness to Children's Cafeterias
We provide fresh, pesticide-free produce from our company-operated farms to local children's cafeterias. In addition to striving to contribute to the relationship between local consumption of locally-grown foodstuffs and the penetration of local food culture, WILLTEC is actively promoting activities to support child-rearing.
Volunteer Activities for Community Cleanup
Our employees are voluntarily involved in activities to clean up roads and other areas around our offices and the plants where they are dispatched. They participate in the beautification campaign on their own initiative with the aim of contributing to their community and revitalizing the workplace. We aim to create an environment where local residents can live comfortably and employees can work comfortably.
Participation in the Osaka Citywide Cleanup Campaign "Osaka Marathon Cleanup"
We participate in the Osaka Marathon Cleanup campaign held by Osaka City as part of its efforts to create a clean and beautiful city. In fiscal 2019 (November 23-29), 12 employees from the Osaka office participated in the cleanup of the area around the building, and six employees from the Suminoe Office picked up litter along the sidewalk of Nanko-dori Street in front of the office. WILLTEC participates in this project together with many citizens and businesses to create a beautiful city.
